The tournament is limited to 208 of the best juniors aged 14 & Under from right around the country, with a number of international players also taking part. Handicap Guidelines do apply, and all players MUST be a current member of a golf club and hold an official 18 Hole GA Handicap.
Handicap Guidelines
- Any player who meets the Automatic Entry Handicap Index Limit (below) at the time of registration will be automatically added into the field.
- Any player who does not meet the Automatic Entry Handicap Index Limit at the time of registration but still meets the Pending Registration List Index Limit (below) will remain on the pending registration list until the close of entries.
- Should spots still be available in the tournament following the close of entries, those players who registered but did not meet the handicap guidelines may be offered a position into the tournament.
- These additional positions (if any) will be offered in handicap order at the close of entries on Sunday 10th September 2023.
Boys Division
Handicap Index Limit for Boys in each age division entering the Jack Newton International Sub-Junior Classic.
14 Year Boys: 27.0
13 Year Boys: 30.0
12 Year Boys: 33.0
11 Year Boys: 36.0
10 Year Boys: 36.0
Pending Registration List: 36.1 > 54.0
Girls Division
Handicap Index Limit for Girls in each age division entering the Jack Newton International Sub-Junior Classic.
14 Year Girls: 36.0
13 Year Girls: 39.0
12 Year Girls: 42.0
11 Year Girls: 45.0
10 Year Girls: 45.0
Pending Registration List: 45.1 > 54.0
Age Division Breakdown
Players competing in the 14 Years, 13 Years, and 12 Years Division (age as at 26/09/2023) will compete for Age Divsion Titles as well as the Jack Newton International Sub-Junior Classic Overall Title. These players will play from the White & Red JNJG Tee Markers.
Players competing in the JNJG Under 12 Tour Divisions (11 Years or 10 Years & Under - age as at 26/09/2023) will compete for Age Division Titles only. These players will play from the Yellow & Red JNJG Tee Markers.

Any player who does not qualify for the tournament at Crowne Plaza will be offered a special exemption into the Jack Newton International 9-Hole Classic, played at Singleton Golf Club from Tuesday 26th and Friday 29th September.
